Initial care takes place in the premises of the François Baclesse Centre. Proton therapy sessions are held at the Proton Therapy Centre 5 minutes away by car from the François Baclesse Centre.
By car
From the ring road
Take exit 5 and follow signs to Centre François Baclesse.
Parking
- The entrance to the visitor’s car park is on Avenue Général Harris, opposite the “Citroën” dealership.
- Note: parking spaces are highly sought-after in the hospital area. Allow time to find a place before your appointments at the Centre.
- 5 parking spaces for people with reduced mobility are to be found before and after the main entrance to the Centre.
- The lift giving access to the entrance hall is to the bottom left of the Centre’s main stairway.

From Caen station
By tram:
In the station, take the “Place de la gare” exit.
Then head for the first tram platform, on the station side and take Tram A or B:
Tram A to Caen campus 2: « CHU » stop.
Tram B to Hérouville St Clair: “Cité U – Lebisey” stop.
Journey time : 20 minutes in the tram + 5 minutes walk
By taxi :
The passenger pick-up area is at the station exit, on the left.

The airport is at Carpiquet, 8 km west of Caen.
From Caen-Carpiquet Airport:
- Take bus line 3 to Hérouville St Clair,
- Take bus line 25 to Hérouville St Clair, –
Twisto depot get off at the “Baclesse” stop - Journey time : about 45 min
